Wilderness First Aid Certification Course October 3, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. | October 4, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. South Campus Recreation Center Outdoors Office Register HERE by September 28 at 5 p.m. $200 | Open to the public Prepare for adventure with this hands-on course that serves as an introduction to wilderness medicine. This course, taught over 2 days, is a great way to become more familiar with first aid practices where traditional EMS isn’t available quickly. You will learn how to assess a patient for injuries, how to provide effective first aid, how to stabilize patients for evacuation, and how to make the right evacuation decisions. This course will be taught by staff with many years of experience handling emergencies in the wilderness, so you’ll be learning from the best.
