SouthTalks: “Reclaiming the Legacy: How the Crowders Turned a Dark Past into Faith and Family” with Hollis Crowder, Stephanie Thayer, and Jodi Skipper Jodi Skipper will facilitate a conversion with Stephanie Thayer and Hollis Crowder that will explore the potential for racial reconciliation in the U.S. and what Crowder and Thayer hope their relationship as descendants of landowners and slaveowners can symbolize for future generations. SouthTalks is a series of events – including lectures, performances, film screenings and panel discussions – that explore the interdisciplinary nature of Southern studies. All events are at Barnard Observatory, unless otherwise noted, and are free and open to the public.
