How to Author with Matt Kessler

Literary Conversations with Professional Writers. Matt Kessler grew up in Mobile, Alabama and has since called many places home, including Chicago and Los Angeles. Kessler has received fellowships and residencies from MacDowell, Art Omi, Willapa Bay Air, and the Fairhope Center for the Writing Arts. His reporting has appeared in The Guardian and The Atlantic. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Literature & Creative Writing at the University of Southern California, and holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of Mississippi. He lives in Birmingham, Alabama.
